OM NAMAH SHIVAAY

Rudrapriya Devi Dasi

SHRI MATRE NAMAHA

Who Am I?

I am a unique reflection of you. From a young age, I have been searching for relief, meaning, connection and rest from the ceaseless waves of samsaar.I have found it between the covers of ancient texts, in the arms of a lover, in the depths of my aching, at the foot of my altar, in the birthing throes of labor, and in ceremony with other humans reckoning with their humanity. I have fallen to my knees, surfed the waves, gotten wiped out, and sharpened my intentions and my skillful means to deliver them again and again.I am a mother, somatic facilitator, tantrika, community organizer, artist and founder of The Womb Uprising. My work is devoted to restoring right relationship with ourselves, each other, Life and the Divine through communal presence, ritual, expression and care.I am committed to cultivating spaces where we connect with the innate intelligence of our bodies, metabolize our lived experiences, sharpen our discernment, and consciously be with our grief, loss, desire and aliveness.I came into this work through direct experience and formal study. My encounters with disempowerment, alienation, dis-ease and distress left me longing for remedies that reach beyond symptom management into the roots of human suffering. My training in trauma-aware somatic therapy, traditional yoga and meditation, and initiation into the Das Mahavidya lineage of the Tantrik tradition have given me a powerful interdisciplinary body of liberation practice to pull from as I walk through healing and transformation with myself and others.Motherhood revealed to me the critical nature of this work and the cost of its absence. It showed me that at our core, we all need genuine care, presence, and autonomy. It brought me deeper into relationship with the Feminine qualities vital to Life: feeling, actively receiving and amplifying or refusing, connecting, and tending to what is vulnerable. Yet these fundamental human capacities have been routinely undervalued, distorted, and extracted from us. The revolution begins when the violation ends. It begins at home, between mother and child, among lovers and friends, within our families and communities. It begins in the womb, in our bodies, in our hearts, in our capacities to care for one another. No matter what we are going through, we are going through it together. Through the simple alchemy of our embodied awareness, we can meet what is there, transform what we have inherited, and create the conditions to flourish together.

Our struggle is collective, our healing is collective, our freedom is collective.
